We have had Azrael since 2002. Jennifer and I moved into our apartment in Huntington together in the Fall of 2001, after I graduated from undergrad. We lived in that apartment until I began work at Miami University (and technically she lived there a month and a half after. My sister took a trip to Virginia in the summer of 2002 and brought Azrael back with her. My mom did not want another cat at the time (she did soon after, and has two now) and wanted someone to take the cat. I convinced Jennifer that we should take the cat, and she reluctantly agreed. We named him Azrael (primarily after the Batman character, but with mentions of the character from Dogma and the cat from the Smurfs) and we have had him since.

He is our little demon cat (or as a friend calls him, our Vampire Cat). He is not sociable with many people, so we keep him away from most people when they visit. (He actually does a good job of that himself). He has developed a deep jealousy of Quinn, our puppy.
