My grandfather is one of many terrific, strong influences on my life. There are many things I could (and may) say on here about him. For now, I am sticking with the very basic explanation of this video. My grandfather took me to my first two Major League baseball games (in the 1990s) to watch my Reds play his Dodgers. We were always together watching major baseball games-World Series, Cal Ripken Jr.'s streak-we watched them all. In 2008 he finally got the chance to come to Ohio to watch a game with me again. I wanted to do something special, so I e-mailed everyone I could. Through the very generous help of the Cincinnati Reds, he was named the Wendy's Captain of the Game and got to accompany Billy Hatcher onto the field to deliver the line-up card to the Dodgers. I am thrilled he got that opportunity.
