Dr. Burge joined Miami's CSA department in 2005 after completing her PhD at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Her undergraduate work was performed at Michigan Technological University. Prior to her return to the midwest, she worked for over 20 years as a software engineer and AI researcher at several Massachusetts companies. Her research interests include design rationale, software engineering, artificial intelligence in design, and knowledge elicitation.
When not in her office, she can be found in the MU Recreational Sports Center or playing cello with the Cincinnati Community Orchestra.
