2005 Critical Geography Mini-Conference
Schedule
The conference begins on Friday, October 28, 2005 with an opening session from 4:30-6:30pm. The session will feature keynote addresses from Kevin Cox and Lynn Staeheli. Preliminary session schedule is now available here, as are the abstracts.

Hotel rooms must be booked before October 14, 2005 in order to receive the special conference rate of $63.00. After that date, the rates will increase significantly, so please make your reservation early.
Miami University Guesthouse
A very limited number of rooms is available in a Miami University guest house for $45.00/night. If you are interested in one of these rooms, please send a check for $90.00 (to cover two nights) to the address below. We will allocate the rooms on a first-come first-serve basis and inform you if you are among the first comers. If we do not have a room for you, we will contact you promptly and destroy your check.

Graduate students: if you wish to stay with a fellow graduate student or a faculty member at Miami, please let the conference organizers know as soon as possible so that we can plan accordingly.
In addition, there are quite a few motels around town that have reasonable rates. They can best be found through www.hotels.com or other travel websites.
Travel Information
By Plane
The nearest airports are Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Airport (CVG) and Dayton International Airport (DAY). Both are about an hourŐs drive from Oxford. We are able to provide transportation from these airports on Friday, October 28, 2005 and to these airports on Sunday, October 30th. Please let us know as soon as possible when you arrive and leave so that we can plan accordingly.
By Car
If you plan to travel by car, please make sure to contact us (at the above address) ahead of time so that we can send you a guest parking pass for Miami University parking lots. Parking spaces in Oxford are scarce, and parking tickets are quite expensive. A map of the campus is available here
