Research Interests (Under Construction)

My research interests are centered around four areas:
Ergonomics of information
Work that I have done in this area investigated how individuals interact with automated equipment in a supervisory task.  Specifically investigated were order effects in the supervision of the equipment, where biasing of the operator was possible by the equipment displays.
Physical ergonomics
Work in this area examines worker comfort and efficiency in industrial processing of various industrial parts.
Event perception
Work planned in this area will incorporate the perspectives of J J Gibson.
Attitudes toward chiropractic
Current work investigates the attitudes of chiropractic of individuals, as well as their attitudes toward other forms of medicine, both traditional and alternative forms of healthcare.  Preliminary results have been presented at a departmental poster session.  More data has been collected and is currently being analysed.
