About the Design

Just a few quick shots of the set. The show shifts in time from present to past but is all set in a bar on Canal Street in New York.

Because this is a memory play, those areas which I thought would be clearest in Charlie's memory get the most attention. The bar is most defined. The walls become skeletal. They are adorned with patriotic stuff and photos of boxers and Jewish entertainers.
