Welcome to my departmental web pages. My research interests focus primarily upon teacher practice and uses of technology in the teaching and learning of school mathematics. In particular, I am interested in the impact of computer algebra systems (CAS) and dynamic geometry software (DGS) on classroom instruction with middle and secondary school students and their teachers.
As a recent co-author with University of Chicago School Mathematics Project (UCSMP) and coordinator of the Miami University TI-Nspire Pilot Project, I work with a cadre of researchers and classroom teachers to construct innovative, technology-active curricula. In addition, my recent work with area school teachers in the Miami University Partnership Enhancing Teaching of Mathematics (MUPET-Math) has been reaffirmed my belief in the power of teachers to change lives and build minds.
I’ve posted several articles that I’ve authored or co-authored here. If you’d care to provide me with some feedback or if you’re interested in writing something with me, feel free to email me with your comments or suggestions. I’d appreciate the gesture.
