Harshman Bridge is constructed with a Child's truss. There are only seven examples of the Child's truss left in the United States. Six are in Preble County and one is in Delaware County, Ohio. Harshman Bridge has a single span and rests on cut blue limestone abutments. The exterior has a red tin roof, white plank siding and one smail window on each side. Each portal has an extended roof.
