Decide on an author and topic about which you would like to write extensively and do some research. Go to the library. Use Ohio Link, Sherlock, and electronic resources such as the MLA catalogue to find materials on that topic. If you don't know how to use MLA, ask the research librarians to help you. Gather approximately 10 books and/or articles that you would like to read on that topic. Type up the list of those articles in an annotated bibliography.
A bibliography is a list of works that you intend to read or have read on a specific subject or set of subjects. To annotate a bibliography means to write a sentence or two about each entry answering the question, why will it be important for you to read this resource in order to complete your project?
Make sure to check out and photocopy those materials you list on your bibliography: you need to begin reading them now.
List the books and articles you will read in a bibliography using MLA format: use the MLA Handbook for Writers of Research Papers, King Reference LB 2369.G53 1995.
