FCAB is a an advisory board to DOE that provides advice on issues that are important to local stakeholders. The group consists of members from various backgrounds, but membership is not open. Fernald Living History Project FLHP (Fernald Living History, Inc.)

The Fernald Living History Project is a partnership of local residents, the University of Cincinnati's Center for Environmental Communication Studies and Miami University's Institute of Environmental Sciences that aims to record and preserve the various perspectives that are a part of the Fernald community's environmental history. Meetings are held at the Crosby Senior Center, 8910 Willey Road (Map). For the next meeting date and time, visit the group's web page. Fernald Residents for Environmental Safety and Health (F.R.E.S.H.), Inc.

F.R.E.S.H.'s mission is to ensure that cleanup occurs at Fernald. Additionally, the group educates surrounding communities on the issue and advocates for responsible environmental restoration and public health and safety. The group meets at 7:30 PM every fourth Thursday of every other month (January, March, May, except 3rd Thursday in November) at the Venice Presbyterian Church, 4244 Layhigh Rd (Map).
