INSTRUCTIONS: Each child in a classroom should
receive a copy of the above form.
They should be asked to match each of the traits on the left with
children in the above list.
“Look down the list of descriptions on the left and check off any
people (across the top) who match these descriptions. Children in the above list may fit more than one
description. Check off as many as
apply.
After each child has filled out the above form, using a blank form as a master, tally (frequency) the number of nominations each child received in each of the categories. Divide these frequencies by the number of children in the room minus 1 (n-1) which should yield the proportion of nominations the children received from other children in each category. These proportions should vary and relatively high proportions would then be interpreted as recognizable "trait" strengths/weaknesses.
