Final Exam
Your final exam has 6 parts. Two of these are tasks to be completed online. Two are tasks you can complete as take-home assignments and bring them with you to the final exam period (Wednesday, December 17, 9:45 a.m. in our usual room). The remaining 2 parts will be completed during the exam period itself. These will involve reflection and thoughtful analysis, but will not require prior preparation on your part. Finally, I anticipate that your Capstone Project reports will be available at the time of the final exam as well.
Online Tasks: Before the Final Exam period, complete both the computer questionnaire and the survey of environmental attitudes that you filled out at the beginning of the semester. Please answer as honestly as you can, without trying to be consistent with your previous responses or deliberately different from them, unless that is how you truly feel at the present time. Note that the content of your answers will not influence your grade, but the questionnaire must be completed.
Take-Home Tasks: Before the Final Exam period, complete the two special course evaluation forms that will be distributed in class during the last week of classes. Bring the completed forms with you to the final exam period. The content of your answers will be anonymous and will not influence your grade, but the forms must be completed. Note also that your thoughtful feedback will be very helpful to me, and one of the forms is a essential component of the capstone nature of the course.
Exam Period Tasks: During the exam period there will be two tasks. The first will be to write an essay that addresses the following question:
Your essay will be graded on the clarity and rigor of your analysis.
The second task during the exam period will be to complete the standard A&S course evaluation form. Your responses will be anonymous and will not influence your course grade, but the form must be completed.
