I am a faculty member in the Psychology department and Director of the Center for the Enhancement of Learning, Teaching and University Assessment at Miami University.

Teaching interests: In recent years, I have taught graduate and undergraduate seminars in Cognitive Development, specifically Theory of Mind, as well as an undergraduate seminar on Theories of Development. I have taught Practicum in Teaching of Psychology, as well as our Preparing Future Faculty course. At the university level, I have taught a course open to all graduate students as the Graduate Student Teaching Enhancement Program. Research interests: My recent research in cognitive development has focused on Theory of Mind developments such as understanding pretense and dreaming. I have also published and presented work about teaching and mentoring, e.g., mentoring of undergraduate researchers, educating undergraduates in psychology, and mentoring graduate students for faculty roles. |
