The 07-08scholars group includes: Michael Kramer (Brain & Cognitive area), Jason Lanter and Christina Brown (Social area), and D’Arcy Reynolds (Clinical).  The group read The Missing Professor and to attended the Midwest Institute for Students and Teachers of Psychology in March.

·   Christina Brown, one of the 2007-08 APA PFF scholars, has been named a College of Arts & Sciences Graduate Teaching Award winner!  Congratulations Christina!

·   The poster made by this year’s scholars about their experiences for the annual departmental Steve Hinkle Poster Day is available by clicking here.

·   In 2006, American Psychological Association conducted a survey of alumni of the pilot PFF programs at Miami, University of New Hampshire, University of Georgia, and the combined program at U Colorado-Boulder and Yale.  Based on the numerical results, alumni reported the most gains from the program in their understanding of the diversity of academic institutions, diversity of faculty responsibilities, and teaching philosophy and portfolio.  The next most gains were reported in advising and mentoring of students, teaching and classroom management, scholarship of teaching and learning, and assessment of student learning.  The report can be found by clicking here.

·   The Society for Teaching of Psychology has published a new book called Preparing the New Professoriate in Psychology.
