Earlham student's project wins Psi Chi award
Jennifer Slezak, Earlham College Class of 2001, has been awarded first
place, $500, in the the Psi Chi/Allyn & Bacon Awards competition for her
senior research project, "The Role of the Visuo-Spatial Sketch Pad in
Mental Arithmetic". She presented a poster of this project at the
APA PFF Tri-State Symposium last winter. The awards,
given for the best overall
empirical research paper in psychology, are open to all undergraduate Psi
Chi members. The abstracts of the winning papers, as well as photographs
and brief biographies of the top three winners, are published in Eye on
Psi Chi, the society magazine. Jennifer entered a graduate program in
clinical psychology at Central Michigan University this fall.
