RESEARCH INTERESTS

My research area is functional analysis, more specifically, the geometry of Banach spaces. During the first ten years after completing my graduate studies, most of my work concerned a variety of rotundity and smoothness properties in general Banach spaces. Since then, my work has focused on the geometry and extreme point structure of various classes of function spaces and their duals.

TEACHING BACKGROUND AT MIAMI

I have taught a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses, including: business mathematics, precalculus, calculus, linear algebra, differential equations, optimization, number theory, real analysis, measure theory, and functional analysis.
