Jeff Sommers is a Professor of English at Miami University Middletown, where he currently serves as Acting Associate Executive Director for Academic Affairs.  Jeff was a Carnegie Academy for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning Scholar in 2003-4 and will be the next editor of Teaching English in the Two-Year College beginning in 2006.  He has presented workshops and published extensively in the area of response to and assessment of student writing.
