Recording Options

  • MP3 files (burned on CD-Rs, emailed as attachments, deposited in Digital Dropbox on Blackboard Course Websites)
  • Audio Inserts (using the Reviewing Toolbar of MSWord)
  • Audio cassette tapes (using mini or regular-sized cassettes)
The How To:

On Mac computers running OSX, download freeware for Audio Recorder, which records directly into MP3 formats. You can use the built-in microphone or a USB-connected microphone:

Another alternative is to use Audacity for recording audio files. There are versions of Audacity for PC, Macintosh, and Linux operating systems. This freeware may be downloaded at the site shown below:
