What Is the Research Consortium?
The Ohio Psychotherapy Research Consortium is an inter-university collaboration between two schools in Ohio: Miami University (local coordinator, William Stiles) andOhio University (local coordinator, Timothy Anderson). The Consortium offers advanced graduate students opportunities to enhance their studies in psychotherapy research through pooling resources, inter-university instruction and exchanges, research collaboration, and research skill training.

What Opportunities are Available Through the Consortium?

Graduate students at one of the participating universities may elect to visit the others to take courses, to attend colloquia or workshops, or to make extended visits to obtain training in research techniques used by participating faculty.  Consortium faculty may be invited to serve on graduate student thesis or dissertation committees across institutions.

Graduate students are encouraged to participate in the Consortium's annual conference conducted in conjunction with the Ohio Area Group of the Society of Psychotherapy Research. The site of the meeting rotates among the three universities. The programs include presentations of faculty and graduate student research, encompassing completed studies, descriptions of work in progress, and proposals (including all stages of students' degree-related research).
