My research spans two broad areas: i) the processes that underlie our ability to categorize objects into groups, and ii) mathematical and statistical issues in testing models of perception and categorization. Three specific projects are underway in our lab:

• learning, generalization, and neural processes underlying categorization
• exploring dynamical systems models of behavior including EEG/ERP signals and postural dynamics
• statistical and mathematical issues in modeling of perceptual and categorization processes
