Undergraduate Students
Mike Cohen is an undergraduate student working in the lab with PhD student Andrew Tucker and Dr. Williamson. Mike, who was an Undergraduate Summer Scholar (USS) award recipient, spends his summers in the field at Lake Tahoe gathering experimental data on the temperature and UV tolerance of native and invasive fish in this transparent lake. During the school year, Mike assists Andrew in the culturing of minnow species native to Lake Tahoe. Mike is pictured above Emerald Bay, Lake Tahoe.
Sam Lee, another undergraduate conducting research in the lab, works with post-doc Dr. Carrie Kissman and Dr. Williamson. As part of the Undergraduate Summer Scholar (USS) program at Miami University, Sam traveled to the Beartooth Mountain region to study sedimentation under different zooplankton grazing conditions. He continues his research in the lab in the semesters following his field experience. Sam is pictured (left) at Glacier Lake where experimental water was collected.
Cody Green began working as an undergraduate in our lab in September 2008 counting zooplankton and analyzing UV data. During the summer of 2009, Cody worked with PhD student Kevin Rose and Dr. Williamson on an independent research project investigating historic DOC concentrations in sediment cores from Glacier National Park and Beartooth Mountain lakes. This work was part of a larger NSF project and supported by Miami's Undergraduate Summer Scholar (USS) program.

Molly Lindsay also began working as an undergraduate in the Global Change Limnology Lab in September 2008. During her time in the lab, Molly focuses on counting zooplankton, analyzing UV data and culturing algae.
